Till death do us part, but not for a long, long time.
A young couple from the Midwest say they plan to live longer than anyone on the planet — and the life-loving couple is taking serious steps to get there.
Kayla Barnes-Lentz, 33, co-owner of LYV the Wellness Space, a membership up to $1,000-a-month health and longevity clinic based in Cleveland, married Warren Lentz, 36, chief revenue officer at a marketing agency and former founder of a talent agency for Gen Z – about nine months after the meeting.
But before committing to spending the rest of her life with him, the biohacking expert made sure Warren passed all the tests — medical and metaphorical, according to The Independent.
The wellness CEO said the pair follow a strict daily routine in hopes of living “healthy until age 150” — the average American lives to be 76.
To do this, the couple “like to set the tone for our day by optimizing our mind and body” from the start.
Warren wakes up before Kayla, but they both start their day with pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, using clinical-grade equipment in their home.
They follow it up with a workout and a walk to soak up some sunlight once it rises. Then they sit down to an organic, homemade breakfast.
In the afternoon, the two try to get more sun and take a cold dip if Warren works from home.
They then use a hyperbaric oxygen chamber and the NanoVi – a device that claims to repair everyday cell damage.
For dinner, Kayla cooks an organic dinner which she sits down to eat with Warren around 5:30 p.m.
The couple take a long walk through the hills and then begin their escape routine.
Kayla and Warren have a sauna session and pass the house at red lights at sunset. They are in bed at 9pm every night.
The couple hopes their strict routine will help them welcome their first child soon.
Kayla noted that she has been “optimizing” her body “in preparation for motherhood for years” and has helped her husband do the same “because we know that the health of the mother and father affects the health of the children”. she added.
Kayla plans to do in-depth labs during her pregnancy to gather never-before-seen data.
But parenthood won’t change their lifestyle if they can help it.
The health-mad couple plan to raise their child with a similarly healthy lifestyle — minus some of the technology.
“We’re going to try to simplify their lives and focus on not having screen time, playing outside, getting dirty, being outdoors and in the sun,” Kayla said.
“I am excited to teach them the beauty and power of well-grown food and how it can make them feel incredible. We want to empower them to make the right choices and lead by example.â€
The family is part of the growing biohacking movement of anti-aging enthusiasts working to reverse their biological ages through healthy lifestyle changes, including venture capitalist Benjamin Buttoning Bryan Johnson and Amy Hardison, 64, a grandmother of 11, with a biological age of 48.
